Η Alliance Francaise Πάφου, παρουσιάζει για δεύτερη χρονιά την εκδήλωση «Μουσικές Πλατείες – Πάφος».
Μια Κυριακάτικη, απογευματινή βόλτα, σε όμορφες πλατείες της Πάφου, όπου το κοινό θα έχει την ευκαιρία να απολαύσει συναυλίες από Κύπριους, καταξιωμένους μουσικούς από διαφορετικά είδη μουσικής.

Τα σχήματα
Macumba (Latin jazz / World Music)
H μουσική των Macumba αποτελείται από ένα μουσικό κοκτέιλ βραζιλιάνικης φανκ, σάμπα, ρούμπα και αφρο-κουβανέζικων ρυθμών, σε συνδυασμό με μοντέρνα post-jazz αισθητική.
Το σχήμα αποτελούμενο από τρεις Κύπριους και έναν Χιλιανό μουσικούς, παρουσιάζει μια διαφορετική προσέγγιση στη λάτιν μουσική, με ένα εκρηκτικό ρεπερτόριο που περιλαμβάνει πρωτότυπα τραγούδια και διασκευές Latin – Jazz.
Οι βραζιλιάνικοι ρυθμοί και τα αφροκουβανικά χρώματα αναμειγνύονται μέσα από μια μοντέρνα αισθητική τζαζ και το αποτέλεσμα καταγράφεται στο πρώτο τους άλμπουμ «Como Jugando».
Mr. Wilson (Reggae / Funk)
Οι Mr. Wilson έχουν έδρα την Κύπρο και η μουσική τους είναι ένα μείγμα από 80s, 90s καθώς και σύγχρονες επιτυχίες με reggae-funky διάθεση.
Οι συναυλίες τους χαρακτηρίζονται από ενέργεια, ζωντάνια και έντονη γιορτινή ατμόσφαιρα και διάθεση.
Nabuma (Neo Soul / R&B)
Οι NABUMA είναι ένα εναλλακτικό R&B τετραμελές σχήμα που δημιουργήθηκε το 2018, συνθέτοντας πρωτότυπες soulful, groovy και ambient μελωδίες. Η έμπνευση και το ξεχωριστό τους στυλ, πηγάζει από την τζαζ, τη neo-soul, την R&B και την εναλλακτική μουσική.
Αυτή την εποχή οι NABUMA ηχογραφούν το ντεμπούτο EP τους.
Aris Constantinou Trio (Swing / Jazz)
Το σχήμα δημιουργήθηκε το 2021 από τον κιθαρίστα Άρη Κωνσταντίνου.
Το τρίο συμπληρώνουν οι: Μάριος Σπύρου στα ντραμς και ο Κώστας Χαλλούμας στο κοντραμπάσο καθώς και καλεσμένοι.
Το τρίο ερμηνεύει τζαζ και πρωτότυπα κομμάτια, σε στυλ bebop και hardbop. Ένα γκρουπ που όλοι μοιράζονται τη μοναδική τους εμπειρία στην τζαζ, κάνοντας έναν μουσικό διάλογο στον ρυθμό του swing.

The Bands
Macumba (Latin jazz / World Music)
Macumba formed in Cyprus. This excellent band moves towards Latin Jazz and World Music directions and paths. Afro Cuban and Brazilian rhythms and colours get blended through a modern jazz aesthetic and the result is recorded in the album “Como Jugando” which was released in 2019. Macumba have successfully presented their frenzy dance jazz music in various festivals and concerts in Cyprus and abroad such as: UNESCO’s Gardens of Sound Music Festival in Poland, ATJF Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival, Windcraft Festival, Rialto World Music Festival, Aglajazz Festival and more.
Mr. Wilson (Reggae / Funk)
Mr. Wilson is a music band based in Cyprus that performs a mix of 80s, 90s and contemporary hits with a reggae-funky twist. Their live performances are very well known for the high energy and the party atmosphere which leads to attract a diverse audience.
Nabuma (Neo Soul / R&B)
Nabuma is an alternative R&B four-piece band formed in 2018, composing original soulful, groovy and ambient melodies. The band members are: vocalist Nicole Ardanitou, bassists Andreas Matheou, guitarist Alexis Kasinos and drummer Kris Grecian. Their inspiration and distinctive style emanates from jazz, neo-soul, R&B and alternative music, fascinatingly combined all together.
‘NABUMA’ are currently recording their debut EP and focusing on upcoming performances.
Aris Constantinou Trio (Swing / Jazz)
The band was formed in 2021 by guitarist Aris Constantinou.
The trio is completed by: Marios Spyrou on drums and Kostas Halloumas on double bass as well as guests.
The trio performs jazz and original pieces in bebop and hardbop styles. All the musicians share their unique jazz experience, creating a musical dialogue in the rhythm of swing.
